Show Synopsis

For the first time since 1960, the passionate Tony Award winning musical West Side Story returns to grace Broadway in a highly anticipated revival. Set in 1950s New York City, the love story is modeled after Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and tells the tale of two competing street gangs and a rivalry that destroys a potentially great love. The gangs sing and dance in lieu of fighting to a brilliant score and lyrics by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim. Directed by book-writer and Broadway legend Arthur Laurents, this West Side Story breaks new ground, incorporating Spanish into the lyrics to add authenticity.
