This new musical imagines a chance encounter between composer Scott Joplin and songwriter Irving Berlin in a building where they both has business representative. Though Jopin was a conservatory educated African American and Berlin a Jewish immigrant who couldn't read, music both musicians took America by storm, each contributed the first American music genera, Ragtime. In this play Joplin and Berlin connect through a musician's fame and a widower's sorrow.
