The lights are dim, with a light haze of smoke pouring over the stage. On the walls are pictures of half-naked women and ads for various alcoholic beverages. A flashing sign reads "NUDE GIRLS." Whitesnake and STYX blare from the speakers. You realize that you have entered not just a Broadway show, but a 1980's temple of rock. Come on feel the noise, girls rock your boys. Rock of Ages arrives on Broadway after a successful Off Broadway run where the musical's unique combination of 80s rock hits, cheeky humor, and boy-meets-girl love story of dreams fulfilled and deferred won a devoted following. Featuring hits from Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, Journey, Whitesnake, Styx, Asia, Pat Benatar, Foreigner and other 80s bands, Rock of Ages stars American Idol Constantine Maurolis as Drew( just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit) who meets Sherrie (just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world).
