It is interesting to note that a review of the 1946 Broadway production of Noel Coward's play Present Laughter described the play as old-fashioned. Well, when it comes to celebrity and the public's fascination with all things starry–Noel Coward was very much ahead of his time (and his medium, for that matter). Show Synopsis
The genius of Noel Coward returns to Broadway in the revival of his classic comedy Present Laughter. A comedy of the first order, Present Laughter tells the story of matinee idol who is planning a trip to Africa. In the midst of his plans, his apartment is invaded by some of the most hilarious characters Coward ever put on the stage.
