Show Synopsis

The Roundabout Theater Company brings the classic musical Bye Bye Birdie back to Broadway. The revival of this Tony-award winning musical stars John Stamos, Gina Gershon, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Bill Irwin. Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of a rock-musical star in the 1960s who gets drafted into the army and decides to sing a song to one lucky girl before going off to serve his country. With hit songs like "Put On A Happy Face," this beloved musical will add an interesting twist to the current rock musicals on Broadway. This production is directed and choreographed by Robert Longbottom, with a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Broadway legend Charles Strouse. - Leora Kanner, Broadway Magazine
