Show Synopsis

The Lion King on Broadway is an adaptation of the original Disney hit musical based on the marvelous animated film. Bringing Disney magic and innovation to Broadway, The Lion King follows a royal young lion named Simba on his journey from cub to king. Using puppetry and stage magic, Broadway innovator Julie Taymor imbued the Broadway version of The Lion King with a theatrical flair and imagination that has made the show a Broadway classic. The Lion King features an Elton John score, with an outstanding ensemble of performers. The Lion King stands as Disney's most successful Broadway production to date, and remains one of the most sought after tickets on Broadway and around the country.
