Chicago the musical is the longest running musical revival in Broadway history, and Broadway ticket buyers show no signs of losing interest in this smart and sultry Broadway musical. Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, two celebrity-murderesses with a thirst for stardom, a need for freedom, and a gift for all that jazz. Set in the 1920s, Chicago is ironic celebration of celebrity justice and culture. It is only fitting that Chicago on Broadway has continued to thrive thanks in part to an on-going rotation of celebrity stars with varying degrees of pop culture status. Chances are if you see Chicago on Broadway, you'll see a star.
