Billy Elliot
Show Synopsis
Inspired by the triumphant British film and winner of 10 Tony Awards in 2009, including Best Musical, Billy Elliot tells the heartwarming story of a boy's passion for ballet despite the disapproval of his family. Young Billy Elliot discovers that he has a hidden talent for ballet, an activity which he enjoys and excels in more so than the dominant sport of most young males, boxing. Set against the backdrop of a small mining town, Billy pursues his passion with inspiring results. Boasting much talent, the original film's director, Stephen Daldry, and writer, Lee Hall continue their work on the stage. Choreographed by Peter Darling along with music from the legendary Elton John, this new Broadway musical is sure to captivate you with the uplifting tale of one boy's determination to follow his dream.
