» A Man For All Seasons previews start at the American Airlines Theater on September 14. With Mr. Frank Langella as Saint Thomas More, it could be another big show come Tony time.
» 13 The Musical begins previews at the Bernard Jacobs on September 16. With a full teenage cast, and a teen-age story, the musical 13 looks to replace Nine as the biggest Broadway show with a number for a title in history.
» The Seagull starts previews at the Walter Kerr start on September 16. An acclaimed London production starring Kirstin Scott Thomas and written by Anton Chekhov.
» Charles Strouse starts UK Tour on September 17, to celebrate the Bye, Bye Birdie and Annie composer's 80 years of life and 50 years in show biz. His new Broadway memoir is Put On A Happy Face.
» All My Sons starts previews at the Schoenfeld on September 18. Arthur Miller by way of Katie Holmes. The blogosphere seems out to sabotage the show, we're looking just to see it.
» A Tale of Two Cities opens on September 18 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The show is previewing now, and heads are rolling. Could this be the next great Charles Dickens Broadway Experience?
» Clay Aiken makes triumphant Spamalot return on September 19. New American Idol father back on Broadway.
» Oklahoma! at the Paper Mill Playhouse starts September 19. Broadway feeder producing another Rodgers & Hammerstein classic.
» Equus starring Daniel Radcliffe opens at the Broadhurst on September 25 for a limited run. The show is not like Harry Potter; has adult themes and some nudity.
» Woyzeck by Georg Buchner takes the stage on September 25. Set in the south with Andrews Sisters music from Counting Squares Theatre.
» Nightmare: Bad Dreams Come True scaring starts on September 26. Experiential horror is essentially shocking.
» Salome at The Metropolitan Opera on September 26. Oscar Wilde gets a hand from Richard Strauss in this opera based on his play. Hold on to your heads.
» David Mamet Broadway Festival Begins as Speed-the-Plow starts rehearsals. Jeremy Piven and company take on Hollywood and the cast of American Buffalo in a Broadway Mametian Showdown...the fight (and performances) starts in October.
» Nick Spangler takes the American Musical to CBS's The Amazing Race starting September 28. The Fantastick's star globe trots in the Emmy winning reality series.
» Lee Blessing's A Body of Water opens at Primary Stages on September 30. We love Lee Blessing and can't wait to see it. Pay what you can for the first two previews.
» Stephen Sondheim: The Story So Far released on Sony BMG on September 30. A four-CD box set from the man.
» Bill T. Jones' A Quarrelling Pair opens at BAM on September 30. With his off-Broadway hit Fela! in consideration for Broadway, and this new piece based on a play by Jane Bowles at BAM, this could be the season of Jones.
» Legally Blonde's Orfeh releases new album "So What Do You Want From Me" on September 30. Not show tunes, but Tony nominee Orfeh is always a winner.
