» David Mamet Broadway Festival Begins as Speed-the-Plow starts rehearsals. Jeremy Piven and company take on Hollywood and the cast of American Buffalo in a Broadway Mametian Showdown...the fight (and performances) starts in October.

» Nick Spangler takes the American Musical to CBS's The Amazing Race starting September 28. The Fantastick's star globe trots in the Emmy winning reality series.

» Bill T. Jones' A Quarrelling Pair opens at BAM on September 30. With his off-Broadway hit Fela! in consideration for Broadway, and this new piece based on a play by Jane Bowles at BAM, this could be the season of Jones.

» Legally Blonde's Orfeh releases new album "So What Do You Want From Me" on September 30. Not show tunes, but Tony nominee Orfeh is always a winner.
