Liza Minnelli Re-Conquers Broadway
By Broadway Magazine Staff

A Broadway legend came home last night. The always fascinating Liza Minnelli opened Liza At The Palace at the Palace Theatre on Broadway, of course. With some fine early notices already in, and a line-up of Broadway stars in the audience, Liza's return has already brought a smile to a season of grim Broadway headlines.
Even as she sang "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," news of the closing of Grease and Boeing-Boeing was crossing the wire. Both of those shows won't shutter until January. In the meantime, Liza will continue her celebration at the Palace, no doubt more stars will attend as well.
