Honoring Tennessee Williams In Poet's Corner

On November 5, the American equivalent to London's Westminster Abbey will add the playwright Tennessee Williams to their ranks of American poets and authors such as Herman Melville, F. Scott Fitzgerald and e.e. cummings. The famed Poet's Corner at The Cathedral of St. John The Divine is the location for this celebration of American artists. Williams will be the first playwright included in the Poet's corner. His stone will be inscribed with the line, "For time is the longest distance between two places," from Williams' classic play The Glass Menagerie. Enjoy these pictures celebrating the upcoming unveiling of the stone on November 5.
