Gina Gershon: Broadway Boeing-Boeing Head Turner

By Leora Kanner, Broadway Magazine

Few stars can stop a red carpet the way Gina Gershon can. Cameras turn towards her like plant leaves twist to the sun. Papparazzi try to capture on film, tabloids try to capture in stories linking her to person x, y, or z. In the end, it is only Gershon herself who does the capturing. With her comic and inspired performance on Broadway in Boeing-Boeing, Gershon has proven herself the most rare combination, stunning and funny.

In the Tony Award winning comedy, Gershon stars as one of the three flight attendants who face unusal romantic complications in this French farce. Gershon may have become a star on film and television, but she did it all to get to Broadway. For those who recognize her from her television appearances, it should be interesting to learn that Gina's roots and heart are tied to the Broadway stage.

Gina Gershon: Broadway Boeing-Boeing Head Turner

In a red carpet interview with www.Broadway.tv, Gina talked about how she "thought she needed TV before Broadway." In her mind, television could be used as a stepping stool to finally making it onto a real live stage.

Not only did she star on television, but this motivated woman started her own successful theater company as well! She also has an album, "In Search of Clio." Clearly, she has been keeping herself quite busy! The 2008 Broadway season is very lucky to have this starlet as a member. As her career continues to grow and as she takes on multiple challenges, it is a sure bet audiences, cameras, and tabloids will be watching.
