Mamma Mia! is an international sensation and today August 19th it has been named the 13th longest-running Broadway show EVER!

The previous 13th longest running show was Fiddler on the Roof, but as of 8pm tonight Mamma Mia! will perform it’s 3,243rd show.

If you haven’t gone to see Mamma Mia! your in for a real treat, with song from the infamous ABBA, the show tells the story of a young girl Sophie Sherida played by actress Brandi Burkhardt seeking the identity of her father.

As you know from the hit Mamma Mia! The Movie Sophie has three men from her mother’s past all claiming to be her father.

The movie starred Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski and Julie Walters was released in July 2008 and has earned over $600 Million worldwide !

The New York cast of Mamma Mia! currently stars Carolee Carmello (Donna Sheridan), Judy McLane (Tanya), Gina Ferrall (Rosie), Brandi Burkhardt (Sophie Sheridan), Chris Peluso (Sky), Sean Allan Krill (Sam Carmichael), Pearce Bunting (Bill Austin) and Ben Livingston (Harry Bright).

Mamma Mia! music and lyrics is by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, choreography by Anthony Van Laast, and a book by Catherine Johnson.
