Melissa is thrilled to be part of Next Broadway Star! She is currently studying Vocal Performance/ Music Theatre at NYU Steinhardt. Growing up on Long Island, Melissa was only a short commute away from the Big Apple and was constantly surrounded by theatre and art. She was always extremely shy, but her passion for dance at a young age let her express herself in a way speaking could not. She caught the theatre bug in high school and couldn’t thank American Theater Dance Workshop, Theatre Arts Center, and Long Island High School for the Arts more for exposing her to professionals in the field. Seeing how passionate they were about their craft made her even more dedicated and determined to be just like them someday. Hopefully, this competition will help make her Broadway dreams come true!
Melissa is currently in Off-Broadway’s The Awesome ’80’s Prom (u/s Heather, Molly). Favorite credits include the New York Premiere of THE FIX (Tina McCoy), Sweet Charity (Charity), How To Succeed… (Rosemary), Smile (Valerie), and originating the role of Kyra Jackson in Most Likely To… at the Midtown International Theatre Festival.

Since we went to grade & high school together, always knew she had what it takes to be on Broadway. Has amazing talent, and a lot of heart. Good Luck Melissa

Wow!! What an amazing talent!! I can’t imagine someone with this level of talent not being a part of the Next Broadway Star. Melissa is OBVIOUSLY the Next Broadway Star. Again, WOW!!
