Red Carpet and After Party Interviews

Matthew Broderick The Philanthropist

Last night The Philanthropist opened on Broadway. Written by Christopher Hampton, The Philanthropist sets out to profile a college professor who goes out of his way to be nice to people and is so nice that it actually works against him. Hampton told us last night that he has been wanting to see this production come to Broadway for sometime now and that he actually got the to write the show while he was in college.

After the show we also caught up with Matthew Broderick who said he was very happy to be in this latest Broadway production. With his wife Sarah Jessica Parker by his side, Broderick said that he enjoys working with Christopher Hampton and his fellow actors in the show. Click here to read more and to watch the opening night.

griffith-banderas-blue.jpgBlue Seduction For Women Celebrates Broadway

Broadway was the theme at the launch of a special scent selected by Antonio Banderas, who electrified Broadway audiences with his turn in “9.” The performance is about to become another major movie musical, so it only made sense that he should launch his new scent Blue Seduction For Women with a big Broadway send off.  Organizers brought out the big guns as the years Tony Award Winning Best Musical “In The Heights”gave Banderas and Company an exciting launch party performance. Also on hand were the extraordinary House Of Roses Kids. As the icing on the cake, PUIG’s Vanita Sabnani announced a partnership with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.   Click on the thumbnails to experience the magic. On hand were Melanie Griffith, Luis Salgados, Janet Dacal, Joshua Henry, Rogelio Douglas Jr, and more.

Abba Home Gets Movie Star Treatment

aabba.jpgIt is unfolding like the voyage of Fogg in Around the World In 80 Days as the stars and creators of the hit movie musical Mamma Mia! The Movie travel from country to country to throngs of fans, swoons from critics, and applause, applause, applause. Early London notices on the movie were strong. The cast then headed to Greece (setting for the story, of course). Now pictures of the Mamma Mia! Brigade arriving in Sweden. It is the home country for the super group Abba, whose songs frame the story and provided the initial inspiration for this now iconic Broadway musical. Meryl Streep was dancing in the aisles, or at least on the red carpet. Not a frown to be found as the global conquest of Mamma Mia! continues…coming soon to America. Enjoy the pictures, and click the thumbnails for an even closer look at red carpet pics of Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Livia Guigglioli, Benny Andersson, Pierce Brosnan, Amanda Seyfried, Agnetha Faltskog, Meryl Streep and Ann-Frid Lyngstad .
