UN Secretary-General Video Interview
World’s Top Diplomat In Rare Interview
In a rare interview, Broadway.tv and Broadway Magazine had exclusive access to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon when he went to see the off-Broadway play RUINED. Being the world’s top diplomat, the Secretary-General had nothing but praise for RUINED saying that seeing the play inspires him to do even more to eradicate sexual violence against women.
We also spoke with Navi Pillay, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Ms. Pillay echoed the Secretary-General’s comments on RUINED, saying that the performance was extremely powerful and will help educate audiences on the real issues facing women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Lynn Nottage, playwright for RUIED said she was honored to have the Secretary-General and High Commissioner in attendance. Click here or the photo above to read more and to watch the interviews.
