Jay Z Knows New York & Broadway’s Infulance

Empire State of Mind is a pretty great song. Watching the music video above (on repeat, 13 times) at home on a cold New York City Saturday evening, as any self respecting Broadway enthusiast would, we noticed a strong Broadway theme.

Notice the shots in Times Square, the Broadway theater sings in the background…TKTS. We say Jay Z knows Broadway’s importance in New York, just like Mayor Bloomberg told us earlier this year. What is even more exciting is Jay Z is one of the producer’s of Broadway’s Fela. See our interview with Jay Z below.
