Broadway.tv’s 9 on Nine Series

Rob Marshall directed Chicago the movie that starred Catherine Zeta-Jones. While at the press junket for Nine the movie, we asked Marshall about Zeta-Jones making her Broadway debut in A Little Night Music.

Marshall says that he is extremely excited to see Zeta-Jones on Broadway.  Marshall says that Zeta-Jones started on stage in London’s West End playing one of the children in Annie. Marshall says that Zeta-Jones will be at “home” on the stage.

Marshall has also worked with Broadway legend Angela Lansbury who is starring along side Zeta-Jones in A Little Night Music. Interestingly enough, the first work Marshall did for film was an original musical written by Jerry Herman and Lansbury played the lead role. It sure is such a small Broadway world!
