Pirates Of The Caribbean Actress Not Making Movie Salary On Stage

Keira Knightley is starring in the West End production of The Misanthrope, and according to Britain’s Daily Mirror the movie star is only making 750 pounds ($1200 dollars) per week for her debut stage performance, hardly a sum befitting a hugely successful actress who is used to making millions on the set of her movies.

A source close to Ms. Knightley says, “Keira was more than happy to do it at a basic rate. She will be taking a percentage of the box office sales as well, but she’s doing this for experience more than anything else. She has been a joy to work with.”

We can’t feel that bad for Knightley as she will be making a percentage of the box office which could easily net the star a lot of money, probably in the range of 5 figures per week.
