Jay Z was at the opening of Fela! tonight. As one of the producers of the show, he says that the story of Fela! is one of inspiration, strength, passion and pain that needs to be told. We asked Jay Z what he hoped people walk away with after seeing Fela! He said that he hopes people recognize that life is full of adversity but a person is defined on how they react to that adversity and that he hopes that people are empowered by the story of the show.
