Sneak Peak Of Vogue Article Out April 20th
VOGUE just sent us over a sneak peak of the May issue on newsstands April 20th. In the issue, VOGUE’s Adam Green sits down with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis to talk about Fences which opens on Broadway on Monday April 26th.

It’s taken 22 years, but the answer is Denzel Washington, a star with the deep-rooted masculinity, emotional ballast, and unstoppable charisma required to play a character who, as this production’s director (and longtime Wilson collaborator), Kenny Leon, puts it, “is on a scale with Othello, Lear, Willy Loman.” Set in 1957—a time when “the hot winds of change,” Wilson writes, “had not yet begun to blow full”—Fences tells the story of Troy Maxson, a former Negro League baseball slugger turned Pittsburgh garbageman.
