David Alan Grier RACE Broadway Interview
Funnyman In Mamet Play
We caught up with David Alan Grier this week at the RACE press meet and greet. Grier is known for being on the TV show In Living Color and also hosting the satirical news program Chocolate News in late 2008.
Fun Fact: One of Grier’s first jobs was on the National Public Radio in a 1980’s radio adaptation of Star Wars.
In our interview, Grier said that he was excited to be in RACE on Broadway. Firstly, Grier says that he has done a lot of musical theater productions during his career, but never a straight play. Secondly, because the legendary David Mamet who wrote RACE is also directing the production.
Grier is in good company as his fellow cast mates are James Spader, Kerry Washington and Richard Thomas. Stay tuned for our full coverage on RACE leading up to opening night.
