Oregon’s Kyra Siegel Wins Understudy Role

Abigail Breslin maybe the most notable name for Broadway’s upcoming Miracle Worker production, but a 10 year old from Oregon just got her chance to shine!

10 year old actress Kyra Siegel and her parent’s Eugene, OR dancers Marc Siegel and Pamela Lehan-Siegel flew out to NYC for Kyra to audition as the understudy to Abigail Breslin who will play Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker on Broadway next year.

Kyra won the understudy role and now the whole family is moving to New York for Kyra’s Broadway dreams!

Fun Fact About Kyra Siegel: Siegel won rave reviews for her portrayal of Helen Keller in the Cottage Theatre production of The Miracle Worker in Cottage Grove, OR. Also because of an injury last year, Siegel is legally blind in one eye.
