Cheyenne Jackson In LA Times And On 30 Rock
Uber Talented Actor Profiled in LA Times
Many know Cheyenne Jackson as the tall, dark and handsome actor who has been charming audiences on Broadway for several years now.
An LA Times article came out today that profiles Jackson and his career in entertainment, and you really get to see the heart of a guy who had dreams of being an actor inspite of growing up knowing he was gay and living in a small conservative milling town on the Idaho-Washington border.
In the article Jackson says growing up he was always being recruited to play football, “but the last thing I wanted to do was hurl myself at other people.”
Jackson had big dreams! Making a longstory short, after Jackson graduated highschool he got out as fast as he could from a life of “working in the sawmill, having five kids and getting drunk every night,” Jackson moved to Seattle “to start a life, to find others like me.”
In moving to Seattle, Jackson met his life partner Monte Lapka, Monte saw Jackson’s amazing talent and convinced him to move to New York and pursue his dreams, and the rest is history.
Jackson’s career has lead him to a role in the Oscar nominated movie- Flight 93, roles in several Broadway shows including Thoroughly Modern Millie, Aida, All Shook Up, Xanadu, and now currently starring on Broadway in Finian’s Rainbow, Jackson has proved no matter where you come from you can accomplish anything!
Jackson has also appeared on TV’s Ugly Betty, Private Practice, Lipstick Jungle, Life on Mars, and his latest foray into televsion is a role on the Golden Globe and Emmy Winning show 30 Rock starring Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, and Jane Krakowski and we can’t wait!
