Barber Shaves Broadway Jeremy Piven At Globes
(BROADWAY MAGAZINE) The Golden Globes have arrived with stars to spare. Broadway fans will take special note of Sandy Cohen of AP’s account of HBO Entourage star Jeremy Piven bounding down the red carpet. Piven left Speed-The-Plow allegedly due to mercury poisoning resulting from a sushi addiction. According to the report, Piven had a quick chat with Tiki Barber,who was covering the event for NBC. Piven said his departure from Speed-The-Plow was like a “team doctor telling Barber that he had to leave a game.” Well, according to the report, Barber quipped that he often just ignored such orders. Apparently, Mark Wahlberg, producer of Entourage, jumped in to say that they needed a healthy Piven for Entourage. (INSERT OWN SUSHI REFERENCE OR MAMET LINE HERE).

It is kind of sad to say, but I think he faked it. I just dont think Piven had what it takes to be on Broadway and he took the easy way out.
