Ashton Kutcher I Participate Speech
Emotional Speech On Volunteering For The Greater Good
Earlier today we heard a great speech from Ashton Kutcher at the I Participate event held in Times Square. Kutcher was joined with stars like Randy Jackson, Christine Baranski, Katie Couric, Fran Drescher, Lee Ann Womack, Constantine Maroulis and Bernadette Peters. Kutcher’s wife movie star Demi Moore was also in attendance. All the stars joined New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (with several other US mayors joining him) to launch a new initiative across the Untied States that inspires volunteerism.
Kutcher’s speech was emotional and heart felt as he spoke to the crowed about the United States being in seizure and how volunteerism can help fix that. On stage, Kutcher (@aplusk) sent a Tweet to his millions of followers helping add a viral element to the I Participate initiative.
Stay tuned for more Broadway.tv coverage of today’s event.

I’ve never really liked Ashton Kutcher, but I thought this was a great, heart-felt speech. I actually only stumbled upon the iParticipate campaign because I love the band The Album Leaf, and their song “The Light” was featured in one of the commercials, but now that I’ve seen the ad, I’m really happy to see the entertainment industry giving back. Living in LA, it’s easy to just get caught up in all the negative and scandalous stories of Hollywood types, so I’m happy to see something like this - celebrities giving back to the community.
