A Broadway movie musical star was born on this day in 1956. So, Happy 56th birthday, John Travolta! The star of Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Pulp Fiction was born on February 18, 1956 in Englewood, New Jersey. Having made musicals and dancing cool, the Hairspray star will always be an icon of the movie musical genre.
His role as badboy Danny Zucko in
