This man has done so much for his fans! He takes time to actually meet his fans, pose with them, pose for them, speaks to them, and always has a moment to sign something- no matter what they look like ! How many other famous people just wave and be on their way- until they see a hot young girl with a low cut top, no bra, and boobs hanging out? That's when they stop to say HI... but not Taylor- he treats ALL his fans with respect and gratitude. Say what you will- I'd pay for the travel package in a heartbeat!!!!

Over on wonderland's blog one can see Taylor having to don a clown nose and pose for silly pictures to please two ladies who came bearing gifts. Then wonderland not only posted said pics for all to see but gave a long disertation into the mind and soul of Taylor Hicks which I found sad and shocking but most seem to love. Sounds like she really got her monies worth. Taylor Hicks has some nutty fans, all celebrities do, but sadly a few show how nutty they are in person a a M&G. My advice to anyone going to a M&G, show up shake his hand, tell him you enjoyed his performance, get your stuff signed and photos taken, sans silly props, wish him future success, and make your exit. Don't pretend to have some intimate connection, inside knowledge, or try to be a psychologist, because he locked his gaze with you.

Taylor has always been, and continues to be, very accessible to the fans. I've had the opportunity to meet him briefly at the buses after shows a few times, and he's always happy to stay out there as long as necessary to sign every autograph. How many artists do that anymore? And if you meet him out in public, he's quite willing to pose for a photo and have a quick chat.

I had one of these meet and greets last week. I already had the show tickets, so we just went for the paid ($100) - and as far as I am concerned it was worth every penny. Taylor was warm and gracious and took the time to really talk to us for probably about 10 minutes. He answered every question I asked and even added other things we might find interesting. It was a wonderful conversation.

One of the things he said was that these meet and greets are the only way the producers of the show will allow him to pose for pictures with, and talk with, the fans. He didn't say why, but my assumption was that they think it would cause too much of a commotion for him to do it outside with the general public.

Hey, why not make money off of the fans and sell yourself? Hey, if you have that kind of money laying around and you REALLY want to meet Taylor Hicks bad enough, go for it! You are supporting his career. It's a WIN-WIN for everybody!

Heather, Did you have 1 ticket or 2 ? If you 2 tickets and such good ones besides, they cost way more than $200 for two total. First it was the headquarters site which had the only M&G and with the 2 different prices. Since that was the only meet and greet at the time it didn't sound too bad a deal. But after the hotel package deal was announced which is a steal or at least a real Deal, the headquarters deal didn't appeal. Then the negatives in the fansights, without checking out hotel rates and taxes and fees, doing the math, started ripping that great deal to shreds. Taylor got a lot of attention for increasing the Grease gross, and one can see the baracades and the fans lined up after the show to prove his popularity. I bet he is doing this for the fans, but still say headquarters screwed up with the on stage verses dressing room M&G, and I think you should get a refund as you did not get what you paid for. We do not know if Taylor got any of the money and perhaps his contract gives him a bonus if the ticket gross increased. I do not see the article as too negative and now that people can do the math on the hotel deal, perhaps this will be a positive once people understand the facts.

I did question where the money was going. I spent basically $275 to meet Taylor. Out of $475 - $200 went for the tickets - which was fine. I'm not sure where the other $275 goes. Does it go to Taylor? To maintaining the website? Not really sure...

I also want to say that TAYLOR was very kind, sweet and a great guy. Meeting him was all I had hoped - it was great and I'd do it again in a minute.

I am questioning the "HQ" since I've had crap for responses...

What a shame that this article has appeared here. Up to this point, Taylor has been treated fairly and kindly, and he so deserves that. He is such a kind soul and so giving and hard-working. I hate it that there is even an inference in this article that Taylor is "greedy" in any way! That is so far from the truth. He is extremely generous and kind to his fans and to those he meets and helps. These big ticket packages include two nights at a hotel, two great tickets and the meet and greet. The hotel for two nights along with the theater tickets for two people cost just about the entire amount of this package. What's left over from this cost is also applied to taxing and processing fees. I wish the "greed" inference had not been made at all. It is certainly not true. This will be blown way out of proportion by some in the media, unfortunately.

The $475 vs the $375, sounds like a huge screw up on headquarters part and I read people are not allowed backstage. The $979 package is a super deal since a 2 night stay at the hotel, with tax is $700 so each ticket and M&G is about $140. I paid $121.50 for front mez and no Taylor. If my friend who is going with me could have afforded 2 night instead of 1, I would have switched to the package in a N.Y. minute. Hope I get an autograph at least but the crowds I see outside makes that look iffy. I just want to get up close to him and hear him speak, you know be near the charisma.

I went to the show on my birthday. I joined the fan club site for $25 and then spent $475 on a package that included 2 orchestra tickets to the show and a meet & greet "in his dressing room". (You could only get the package once you were a paid member of the site.)

Positives on the night:

* Show seats were great - very close to the stage and in the middle of the theatre - excellent!
* Taylor - very nice and very friendly - a nice guy - signed my stuff and spent 10 minutes chatting with me

Negatives on the night:

* Grease isn't that great - he did a great job - but the show wasn't great. Hopefully the new leads will jazz it up.
* The staff at the theatre would have nothing to do with the meet & greet since they didn't organize it. They did give proper instructions though.

Biggest Negative:

There were 2 packages. One for $475 that was supposed to be "in his dressing room" and one for $375 "on the stage". It was my 35th birthday (god I'm old) and I was going all out - figure hell - what's an extra $100 to meet this entertainer that I admire. So I spent the $475.

My meet & greet was on stage and not in his dressing room. Was it any different? No probably not - but I paid the extra $100 and got nothing extra for it.

I've emailed the fan club site 3 times and have gotten no response. I'm pretty ticked - not at Taylor - he was nice and all - I'm ticked at the fan club site. I paid $500 and they didn't deliver what I paid for. I'm asking for a $100 refund and have heard NOTHING!

But all in all - I'm happy I went - it was fun and I got to meet Taylor on my birthday! (There's a pic of it on my blog.)
