Harry Potter, Tom Cruise, and The Secret Broadway Tunnel
Literal Connection Between Two Star Studded Productions
Yes, there is an actual secret Broadway celebrity tunnel.
With Daniel Radcliffe in Equus and Katie Holmes in All My Sons on Broadway this fall, the celebrity wattage on Broadway has been considerably amped up. Radcliffe’s show takes place at the Broadhurst Theatre and All My Sons is playing at the Schoenfeld. Well, the theaters are physically adjacent, and there is an underground tunnel between the two theaters, which will allow easy access to and exit from both theaters to Katie Holmes, her husband Tom Cruise, and Daniel Radcliffe. The “celebrity tunnel” is actually a shared boiler room. Security concerns are quite high, of course, and the “tunnel” offers additional options for safely moving the high profile stars in and out of their theaters. Do these Broadway catacombs lead to an underworld labyrinth filled with Broadway stars and celebs moving about? We’ll let you know when it is discovered.
While you wait for your new Broadway shows to begin, don’t forget to be a part of our Great American Broadway Summer Giveaway. It’s easy, free, and you don’t have to dig a tunnel. Click here.
