Broadway Adaptation of Classic Film
The possible Broadway production of Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner starring Bill Pullman and Debra Winger remains set on a Broadway date in the fall. Two of the creative forces behind the possible production, Kenny Leon and Todd Kreidler, are highlighted in a feature by Wendell Brock in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. According to the article the show is still on. From the article:
No “Dinner” date has been set for Broadway. “But we’re still aiming to go in the fall,” Kreidler says. “Right now, we’re planning to gather for a reading in New York after Labor Day, then hopefully begin rehearsals in October.”
Currently, Leon is directing August Wilson’s Gem Of The Ocean at the Alliance Theater. Leon’s productions include the popular revival of Lorraine Hansbery’s classic A Raisin In The Sun,which played on Broadway with Diddy in the lead. No word if Sean “Diddy” Combs is in the running for the lead of this possible upcoming Leon Broadway production.
