Will American Idiot Love A Broadway Parade?
BROADWAY MAGAZINE – Today is the final performance of the new Green Day musical American Idiot at Berkeley Rep in California. So, today could be G-Day for Broadway. Though there is no announcement scheduled, it is still possible that the show could announce a Broadway run before Thanksgiving. This would mean that the production could march in the famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade…which would be a truly fun juxtaposition of images. Last year, HAIR made the trek at the famous Thanksgiving Day Parade and took home the Tony for Best Revival. Though there is no scientific correlation between the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Tony Award success, it would still be interesting to see Green Day Turn Thanksgiving Day into something unique.
