This is so great For Broadway to have Clay Day !!!!

Big frickin deal. Who gives a rats behind that Clay’s appearing in Spamalot again. Did he end world hunger? Nope. Did he do anything newsworthy other than having an illegitimate child? Not that I can see.
Clay Day? Don’t make me gag.

I saw him back in March and he is pee your pants funny. A good singer too but everyone all ready knows that.

Hooray for Clay’s return to Broadway. I saw it last Spring and it was hilarious and Clay was great.
Amanda, maybe you should educate yourself on all the unselfish work Clay and many other stars do with UNICEF when they are not earning a living. So sad to be so cynical.

Thanks for the great photos! We saw Clay last time and laughed our butts off. Mike Nichols was right about Clay’s comedic timing. He’s a great guy, too. We plan to go again in November since he’s back. And Amanda, if you are so concerned about illegitimate children in this modern day, then maybe you should volunteer your services to a teen pregnancy center. BTW. What have you done to end world hunger? Also, congrats to Ace Young on his role in Grease, maybe he’s the one who’s ending world hunger for Amanda.

My tickets are bought!! I’m ready for Clay Day! Any reason for an uptick in grosses is cause for celebration, but the added energy Clay brings with him to Shubert Alley gives us even more reason to cheer. As for Amanda Frost’s comments - her ignorance is showing. As the mother of a special needs child, I could write pages on the notable things he has done, but I won’t.

I saw Clay in Spam last April and he was incredibly funny as well as the rest of the cast. It is definitely worth seeing!!
Clay has not solved world hunger but he quietly goes about helping Unicef as an ambassador for children. He has created a foundation that raises money for inclusion of all children. What I admire is that unlike other stars he does not promote charities just to get in the press. he does it for the right reasons.

I am so glad that Clay is back ! This man exudes talent out of every fibre of his being ! He not only has the pipes but now can add comedic improv to his growing list of accomplishments.
I feel sad for folks like Amanda , who are so very quick to judge by ‘perception’ only . Clay stated he wanted to make a difference with his celebrity status and by being UNICEF AMBASSADOR and having his own foundation (BUBEL/AIKEN) for the awareness of autism , he has raised thousands of $$$$$ and has most certainly made a difference………..I would ask Amanda ……What have you done to make such a difference??
BREAK A LEG CLAY AND KNOCK EM DEAD!!!

Broadway Clay Day - how cool! I saw Clay in Spamalot last year and he was terrific (as was the entire cast). My family and I really enjoyed the time we spent in NYC.

Clay Day!!!! How exciting!! I was able to see Clay in his first run on Broadway and can’t wait to return in October.
Amanda Frost………Clay has visited Somalia, Kenya, Afghanistan, Mexico, Indonesia, and Uganda with UNICEF, helping children get the basic needs of life. what have you done recently??
September 19th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Yay for Clay. Saw his first run with Rick, Tom, Hannah, David, and Jonathan. Best cast I’ve seen in a long time. Perfect chemistry and comedic timing.

So great that they’re making a fuss about Clay returning to Spamalot. He was great in it, and I especially loved the way he played the monk. Couldn’t get over his 3 different British accents, and his dancing! But what really makes the show great is the entire cast. They are all fantastic and you just don’t stop laughing from beginning to end of this show. So three cheers to the entire ensemble; sure wish I could go again. (Would love to see Merle Dandridge as the new Lady of the Lake — Hannah Waddingham was wonderful, and I’m sure the new LOTL will do new things with the part.)

Clay’s back! He’s the grail! Wohoo!

Amanda, Clay hasn’t ended world hunger, but he works to improve the lives of children all over the world. He has been an UNICEF Ambassador for about 4 years. Each year he visits a place in the world where the children are in need and even danger. He has visited Indonesia, Uganda, Afghanistan, Mexico and Somalia. With each visit, he not only raises awareness of the plight of the children, but raises a substantial amount of money. For example, last Christmas, he asked his fans if they could raise $100,000 in 10 days for the children affected by the floods in Mexico; the fans alone came up with $120,000. One of the other trips, fans alone raised $160,000 when he asked for $100,000.
In addition, right after American Idol, he started the Bubel-Aiken Foundation, which provides money, training, materials, etc. to help run camps which include both special needs children and children without special needs. You can go to that website and find out about that organization and about how many camps across the country have been started. The children without special needs benefit greatly from this exposure. His fans across the country do projects to raise money for this organization. Clay won $300,000 on Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader for this organization, which funded 10 camps. In my community, we are starting our second camp next summer. We successfully started one through a YMCA 3 years ago and it is still running with the help of dedicated volunteers.
Clay was a special education teacher and has stated that he can help more children with his present career by bringing awareness to the public about inclusion.

This is great news! I saw the show in January on a lark & was pleasantly surprised at how good Aiken was as was the entire cast. Funniest show I’ve seen in years! Maybe I’ll take my new girlfriend for her birthday as she is a Python fan & I don’t think has seen it yet.

Clay:
Break a leg….and don’t cynics like Amanda ruin your triumphant return…

I wouldn’t get all worked up about the ever so cool amanda (only not). She’s just one of Clay’s stalking haters who has his name on her google alerts. I fart in her general direction.
Break a leg, Clay!

It’s wonderful having Clay back as Sir Robin! He owns the stage! Just listen to the applause afterwards!
I saw him last May and he acts as if he’s been acting on stage for years. He’s such a natural.
