Beijing Olympics Features Broadway Star In Track Event?
Gold Medal Fan Favorite
There is some difference between the track and the Olympic opening ceremony. A Broadway star will be featured at the Olympics in Beijing, but not in a sport. Word today from EMI that Broadway star Sarah Brightman will sing a solo at the spectacular Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing. Brightman is famous for her work not only as a beloved soprano recording artist, but also as the star of such Broadway classics as Phantom Of The Opera. She was married for a time to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and remains a fan favorite. At the opening ceremony, she will sing with Liu Huan. It is an honor that Brightman also had at the 1992 games in Barcelona.
