Avenue Q Actually Rescues American Economy
Who Needs the Federal Reserve?
As we reported last Friday, the puppets from Avenue Q were set to open the NASDAQ on Monday of this past week. The results are in, though it took a few days to kick in, Wall Street and the American Economy have clearly benefited from what future economists will call “Avenue Q Effect.” For the past two days the NYSE has been up over 200+ points per day, making up considerable ground from the last few down weeks. Rod and Lucy should expect a White House dinner with President Bush and perhaps a medal. Of course, they didn’t boast about this in their performance in Bryant Park, but that simply means they are modest.
