Record Setting Performance In Fencing

Offering an optional way to enjoy the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2008 Broadway Showlympiad Games are fun and easy to follow. Full details here, results below.

Women’s Fencing Individual Saber 

With rapier sharp wit, the Broadway hit WICKED has just swept the Women’s Fencing individual saber competition.  In an excellent saber performance, Kerry Ellis took home the gold. Jayne Houdyshell and Kendra Kassebaum took the silver and bronze respectively. Wicked was favored going into the event, though it was a toss up as to which of the Broadway Olympiads would take the gold. No one lost an eye, though enthusaistic flying monkeys caused some disorder. Wicked photo by Joan Marcus.
