St. Luke’s Theatre to Host The Legend, or a Version of Her Anyway

For Carol Channing fans, it seems the gift of youth has been bestowed upon Dolly herself…but that’s only if you don’t look too closely.  Tonight marks the opening night of Richard Skipper as Carol Channing in Concert at the St. Luke’s Theatre (306 West 46th St.).  Alone on stage in a glittery red dress with a set covered in photos of Carol and a three-man band, Skipper croons away many of the classic Carol Channing songs.  Endorsed by the 90-year old Broadway babe, Richard Skipper as Carol Channing In Concert will have audiences singing her classic Broadway tunes.
