NEXT BROADWAY STAR SEMIFINALIST: Mariana Leon

The girl from next door is here to rock the Broadway world. Don’t be fooled by her good girl looks because she knocked the socks off the judges by her performance. Duncan said she is the “surprise” package and challenged her to move away from the good girl image. Let’s see if Mariana can do just that in the semifinals!
Mariana is a Musical Theater major at the Boston Conservatory. She has been studying Musical Theater for the past six years. She attended New World School of The Arts High School one of the most prestigious performing arts high schools in the U.S. Mariana has performed in high school and college shows such asPippin, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Life After High School, Very Good Eddie, 100 Years of Broadway, Comedy of Errors and Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Mariana has performed as a soloist in numerous local events in Miami and currently records commercial jingles for many clients ranging from radio stations to local businesses. Besides her vocal and acting training, Mariana also performs classical ballet, modern, tap, jazz, hip-hop and Latin rhythms.
She lives in Miami, Florida and is fluent in Spanish.

Mariana is a good girl because she was raised to have a social conscious- something that uprising stars should have in this “It’s About Me” world. That’s why she has committed her winnings to go to St. Jude’s Hospital- a charity that she and her family has supported for years. Being a good girl doesn’t keep he from having a powerful voice and commanding stage presence. She’s artistically versatile– you can’t go wrong with her. Please make her the winner— not just for her sake which she deserves– but also for the many children fighting life-threatening health conditions that she will help. Thanks!

Out of that wonderful package that Mariana is comes out a jewel,,with a tremendous power of a voice and personality. She has the feeling because as she said, she did suffer , and now she is vindicated. LOve you Mariana…I am your fan!
