New Jujamcyn Theater Prez At 33 Is A Great Asset To Broadway!

Jordan Roth may have grown up in privilege, his father Steven Roth is ranked on Forbes 400 richest Americans list, but the silver spoon didn’t stop Mr. Roth from becoming Producer and Vice President of Jujamcyn Theaters for the last 4 years, and now as of 9/9/09 President as well as buying a stake in the company.

The previous president Rocco Landesman left earlier this year after being appointed by President Obama to lead the National Endowment for the Arts, Landesman had this to say about Roth, “This is a little different than would necessarily be my taste. His connections with younger producers, younger artists, new voices are going to be a big plus for Jujamcyn.”

Jujamcyn Theaters include the St. James, Al Hirschfeld, August Wilson, Eugene O’Neill and Walter Kerr, hosting Broadway shows like the new Finian’s Rainbow, HAIR, Fela,  and Jersey Boys!

Jordan attended the Horace Mann School in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, and majored in philosophy and theater at Princeton, where he graduated summa cum laude in 1997.

Jordan and boyfriend Richie Jackson, who is an executive producer of the Showtime series “Nurse Jackie” starring Edie Falco (whom we interviewed at the 09 Tony’s) are raising a son together. Congrats Guys!
